Depart for a full day of Accra city sightseeing visiting the National Museum of History and Ethnography.ย This museum houses a diverse collection of Ghanaian artifacts.ย Continue to the W.E.B.ย Wood for Pan-Africanism, it is a Pan-African center for culture and it also has a research library and gallery full of manuscripts, the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum and Park, the Museum of Science and Technology, the Makola Market, the Artists Alliance Gallery with more than three floors of art, sculptures,ย of engravings and objects is a jewel in a gallery full to bursting with artistic expression.
Lunch at a local restaurant
Continue to Old Accra which has been divided into Dutch Accra and British Accra due to the two European nations operating from different locations in the same township of just under a square kilometre.ย You'll pass Fort Ussher built by the Dutch in 1652, Fort James built by the British in 1662, Old Accra Square, and the Post Office, the former lighthouse built by the British to guide trading ships into Accra Harbor.
Pass by the Arch of Independence and Black Star Square, Accra's ceremonial grounds, to visit the National Arts and Crafts Center.ย Seen from afar, Christiansborg Castle, the former office of the President of Ghana.

Departure from Accra to Akosombo. Stop en route at the Shai Game Reserve, which is home to several animals such as antelopes, green monkeys, and baboons. Savour the vast herbaceous and wooded savannah and enjoy a memorable experience as you observe the Senegal parrot, dovetailed bee-eater, Vieillot's barbican, piapiac and red-red-shouldered shrike. Cycle along a 19.7 km network of rugged trails, so often traversed by antelopes; invade a cave that's home to mischievous baboons and rappel down a 20-meter Mogo rock face in the Shai Hills Reservation.

Day 4: Kayaking expedition on Lake Volta

After breakfast, take part in various kayaking and adventure activities.ย Explore the sacred Anum Jungle on a 5.5-kilometer hike, rappel down the 20-meter Discovery Cliff into the Volta Lake Gorge, and test your mental resilience and love of adventure against the waves of the world's largest man-made lake on a 7.6-kilometer kayak foray to Survival Island.

Depart for Kumasi, the center of the ancient Ashanti kingdom.ย Pass several quaint villages and charming towns and through forests.

After lunch, set off on a Kumasi city tour visiting Manhyia Palace and the Palace Museum which offers a good overview of Ashanti culture and traditions, as well as the history of the Ashanti Kingdom which is over 300 years old.ย It offers a good insight into the ancient and powerful

Depart after breakfast to visit a few Ashanti handicraft villages, including Ahwiaa โ the woodcarvers' village specializing in wood carving like Ashanti stools, fertility dolls and canes and Ntonso โ known for its indigenous artisans whose expertise lies in Adinkra textile printing using traditional symbols that express spiritual philosophies,ย moral, political and socio-cultural aspects of the Akan people.ย In the Adinkra village of Ntonso, you can try your hand at creating your own patterns.ย From there, we will visit Adanwomase, well known for the traditional weaving of Kente fabrics.ย Watch the weavers show off their craftsmanship in the production of ornate garments, some of which are reserved for the Ashanti kings.

Proceed to Lake Bosomtwi, the only natural lake in the Ashanti region and Ghana.ย It is located in an ancient impact crater about 10.5 kilometers (6.5 miles) in diameter.ย The lake is surrounded by about 30 villages.ย Visit the lake site and hear the oral history about the discovery of this lake.ย Take a boat ride on the lake.

Depart from Kumasi after breakfast to the central region, passing through quaint villages and charming towns through evergreen forests, stopping en route at a palm wine harvesting hut.ย Learn how palm wine is derived from the palm tree.ย The fermented palm wine is then distilled to obtain a drink with a very high alcohol content locally called "AKPETESHIE" with more than 70% content.
Continue and arrive in Elmina and visit Elmina Castle, the first and oldest European structure built of any substance on African soil.ย It was built by the Portuguese in 1482 and later used as an auction market for a full guided tour.ย Visit the slave dungeons and condemnation cells where slaves who tried to escape were incarcerated.ย Admire its very special architecture.

Departure to Kakum National Park. Go for a morning walk on the "Kuntan Trail" with its countless trees with medicinal properties. For the young at heart, check out the "Canopy Walkway" suspended 30 meters from the forest floor for a panoramic view of the flora and fauna of the remaining remnants of the rainforest.
Lunch at Hans Cottage Botel. Watch the resident crocodile while enjoying your meals.
Visit Cape Coast Castle which was originally founded by the Swedes in 1652. It served as the seat and seat of the British colonial government until 1877. Take a comprehensive tour of the castle, slave dungeons, and West African Heritage Museum.
