Depart after breakfast for Kumasi with a stop at the Ghana Cocoa Research Institute (CRIG) which was founded in 1938 as the Central Cocoa Research Station of the Gold Coast Ministry of Agriculture. You'll be guided by the authorities through a model cacao plantation to see the various uses of cacao; transformed into wine, soap, etc.

Pass by several picturesque villages with beautiful examples of traditional Ghanaian buildings. Visit a few Ashanti handicraft villages to watch the artisans at work and to shop for souvenir gift items from the wide assortment of handicrafts on sale. This is a unique opportunity to buy souvenirs or gifts. Arrive in Kumasi in the late afternoon and rest of the day free to relax in your hotel.

Departure for Kumasi/Royal Golf Club early morning. Embark on a late morning Kumasi city tour visiting the Manhyia Palace Museum, the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum, and the Okomfo Anokye Sword. Pass by Kumasi Central Market, the largest open-air market in West Africa.
